Claude Banta died in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada in the late 1940s or early 1950s.
Some of his personal effects surfaced recently out of a forgotten attic. There are mainly photographs - likely family - which have a turn of the century feel about them.
The studios in which the photos were taken were in Indiana and California (San Diego)which suggests family connections there.
Claude Banta was married to Pearl Foster. So far as I am aware they had no children.
I would be happy to see that these items are reunited with a suitable member of the Banta family if one can be found.
