There is an 1847 BANTA family bible for sale on eBay - it is for the North Carolina/Illinois Banta family - the seller gave me the following when I requested info;
First Banta named is Jacob W. born 1807 or 1809 (hard to read) There are also the following Banta's listed:
Augusta
William
James
Marion
John P.
Rollin
Mary.... and a few others I can't make out their names....
