Does anyone have information on a Bannister-Perrin connection in Halifax Co. or Charlotte Co., VA, before 1800? William Byrd named the Banister R. after his friend John Banister, explorer and botanist.Various Perrins lived nearby in the mid-1700's, and George Perrin lived on the River at Polecat Creek, 1798-1800.His son was Banister Perrin.Another Bannister Perrin of Elbert Co., GA, confederate soldier, died and was buried in Richmond c. 1864.
