Sorry for second page, however, there is more information I would like to share with you.As you are probably aware, Dr. Stephen Bannister, was born in 1824 and died in 1904.I have deduced that Langdon Burr, was most likely a son.I came to this conclusion because: 1. The age differences. and 2. They are buried in the same family plot along with Dr. Bannister's wife Leila.During my research, and it may have been yours I am recalling, I remember a mention of a John Bannister, predating Stephen, and writing to several of our country's founding fathers. There are also apparently letters between John Bannister and Theodosia Provost, Aaron Burr's only child. She died, along with Aaron's grandson, in a ship sinking on her way to see her father in New York.It is possible that Langdon's unusual middle name may mean that our family were Burrities.I plan further research in Charleston's excellent library on this subject and will certainly share any information I discover with you.Your DNA project enthralls me.Can you tell me more about it? I also hope you will look under Bannister Cousins, you will see Balaam's name, and Maiden names galore. Thank you for your work and your reply.I hope we communicate again, As I have found the Stratford C Bannister branch of the family in Florida. Both the IV and the V are living and married. My research indicates though they may have miscounted and may each actually have to add a number. Thanks again Pattie, I am Michael Langdon Bannister.
