part2 Now I also recall a Donald Bannister my cousin Donny An Aunt Millie her Husband Maurice and my cousins William and Amy. The last time I saw Bannisters was in 1965. First Aunt Millie, Uncle Maurice and Willy and Amy came to say goodbye. We had visited them several times in the past but this was the first time they came to our house. They were moving to Sacremento CA. Next Uncle Don came although without any cousins. I vividly recall him changing a light bulb for my Mom. Next in that remarkable year came Uncle Jim, I recall his visit the most as he said to me "you're Bannister through and through." He then gave my brother and I 50 cents. In late 1965 my Father showed up also. As I recall my mother who never said a negative thing against him, had the police excort him off the property. I followed him to town, and that was my last sight of him. In 1969 he sent two letters one of which I recall as he wanted to give me his type writter and become a newspaperman. I do remember several stories about my father which I would be happy to share. Now as Donald and Aunt Millie were not on the 1930 census I am going to Charleston and examine highschool yearbooks, birth records and phone books. My last search revealed no records for any of the members of Stratfords family. As to Census records they lived in Anderson, SC. and Georgetown,SC. I plan in the near future to visit those places as well. PS to my brother Dave, Aunt DEE lived in Lake Elsinore CA., and was in poor health in 1998. I spoke to her Brother Uncle Fred Walker in Springfield, MO. He gave me her phone number and told me Uncle Harley had died. He died in about 95. His son lives in Ontario,CA. I also spoke with Reburns who hoped you were still alive. I would be very grateful to anyone who can give me any information on the Bannisters. Photos would be so appreciated as would letters or any records. I once again apologize to what I have done to my brother and by extension to Mom and our Stepfather Donoho C. High. They loved David with all their hearts as do I. My hopes and prayers are with you Dave and to all Bannisters. MY Email is
firstname.lastname@example.org. I am always ready to help. Love Michael Langdon Bannister PPS Donald and Millie must have been very late births or perhaps Stratford married again. By the way my Mother was Married to Everette for 10 years. She told me shortly before her death that she was his fourth wife. Any half brothers and sisters please contact me. The 1930 Census misspelled Bannister to Banister I don't think this of much significance as it was 1930 and the Census Taker probably heard the name and spelled it their way.
