Everette Langdon Bannister 1910 SC

I have information of Everett Langdon Bannister. He was my father.I was born in 1954 when he was 43 years old.His fathers name was Stratford Cruthers Bannister. He had several siblings James C. Bannister, Charles S. Bannister, and two older sisters. These sisters I have the names for and will try and locate them.Cousins for myself and my younger brother are remembered by me as all relating to a Millie and aDonald Bannister. There were in the nineties an Everett Bannisterlisted in the Orange County, CA phone book also Donald Bannister had a listing in L.A.One of Everett's sisters married a gentleman named Maurice I cannot remember his lastname, so have no way of contacting my cousins William and Amy.Aunt Millie tried to contact my brother and I just before mymothers death in 1984.According to the 1920 Census the family name was misspelled to Banister.I don't read to much into that as it probably was a mistake by the census taker.Everett listed on my birth certificate spells the name with 2 ns.He was also listed as "being born in about 1910 and being able to read and write." In the 1920 census.I suspect further research will develop his mothers maiden name. She is also listed, but I have mislaid the paper, I promise to search for it and other information.By the way on my birth certificate it lists Everett's place of birthas"Charleston" however a check of the Charleston library did not show his birth as being there. The family, in the census of 1920 lived in both Anderson, SC. and Georgetown, SC.I currently live in South Carolina and am doing my best to learn about this side of my family. Finally the hard part of family research, my dear brother.I know I wasn't always the best brother but Dave I have alwaysloved and missed you.I even called Mr. Bogosian trying to find you and let you know about moms death and burial. Please forgive my stupidities, You and I are all Mom and Dad left, it was always mom's wish that you and I would be as close as Uncle Jim and Grandfather Glen were.I hope with all my heart, as my family does, that we will see each other again, learn of each others lives spend time together and let me make amends for all the stupidities of the past. You are all the family I have in the world Dave, I miss you as much as mom.You are always welcome here. If you ever need help or anything you have only to call on me.I would very much like to tell you of Moms final days. Her thoughts and hopes were of you.
To any and all cousins I send my love and hope to hear from you.PS My mother was Everett's fourth wife.He was a printer at the time of my birth.I have some very vivid memories of him that I would be happy to share. He died in 1970 if memory serves after sending two letters to my brother and I. To all my cousins Donny Willie and Amy all my Love I have never forgotten you or your parents.LoveMichael Langdon Bannister.
