Deceased Name: Joseph B. Banning
PANA - Joseph B. Banning, 48, of Pana died Saturday, Dec. 16, 2006, in Pana Township.
He was born July 8, 1958, in Pana, the son of Benjamin A. and Florence "Jake" Jacob Banning.
Mr. Banning attended Pana High School. He was an arborist and tree trimmer for Asplundh and a lineman for CIPS and L.E. Myers. He was a member of International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers.
Survivors: wife, Florence; son, Joseph Michael Banning of Port Richey, Fla.; parents, Benjamin and Florence of Pana; five brothers, Michael A., Kenneth E. (wife, Mary) and Philip Banning, all of Pana, William E. Banning of Kingsport, Tenn., and Richard A. (wife, Lyn) Banning of Sullivan; three sisters, Judith Marie Banning of Pana, Julia Ann (husband, Art) Thorpe of Baltimore and Janet K. (husband, Karl) Walk of Wentzville, Mo.; many nieces and nephews; and companion, Jackie Dilly of Pana.
Services: 10 a.m. Wednesday, St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Pana, the Rev. Don J. Roberts officiating. Burial: Calvary Cemetery, Pana Township.
Kennedy and Sons Funeral Home in Pana is in charge of arrangements.
