At least a part of the Bannings who migrated to Illinois, were in Greene county, in the 1830 census. Jeremiah was, by that time, in Shelby county, Il., where he settled, and died. Alexander was in Shelby county by 1840, and he is brd. in Neil Cemetery, north of Cowden, Shelby co., Il.as is his wife Lucinda.She d. 11 Dec 1842, he d. 1849.They had ch: Ann,Machac, Elizabeth, William, James, Benoni, Alexander.
