I don't think there is a connection. My John Banner died in 1783. When he died he left his land to his son John Banner when he reached the age of majority. So he was probably born around 1770. To be truthfull I don't know what happened to the son other than a family story that says he died in early manhood. I have been corresponding with Judy Cardwell and we think that John Banner Sr. from Berkely County Virginia and Henry Banner from North Carolina may have been brothers. Hope to find out for sure in the near future.
