Hello,

I am from Australia (now living in Florida) and discovered your forum. I have some knowledge of my family background on my father's side, but only as far back as my great-grandfather whom I believe was born in Australia around 1880-90. As for his parents, I don't know. Also I have always been curious regarding where the name Banner originated - is it English? Irish? I would be interested to hear of any research that points to the origins of the Banners in Australia.
