Dear Carol:

I do have some more information now that you have supplied additional clues. If you will refer back to my response to Amy Felix Polefrone, your husband ties into that same line. Henry Banner & Orpha Mahalia Lusk's son, Emmanuel Lafayette Banner (1868-1940), married Hattie Alzena Briggs. I have their children listed as:

1. Eleanor Alice, b. 1899
2. Mineola Orpha, b. 1902
3. Desiree Louise, b. 1904
4. Beulah Anetta, b. 1909
5. Allene Ina, 1910

I don't have record of any boys in this family.

Eleanor m. Robert Lee Abbott
Mineola m. Everett Nuckles
Desiree m. James Hardin Lusk
Beulah m. Harmon J. Hyder
Allene m. James Evans

Allene (Allie)'s son, James Micheal Evans, I am assuming is your husband and that you were Carol Nance before marriage. Your children are Micheal Jessie & Susan Renee. (Am I spelling Micheal correctly or is it Michael; I have seen it both ways.)

Also, is Mineola the one you refer to as "Nodie?"

It seems like we are all from John William Banner, Sr. & Mary Elizabeth (Betsy) Shipwash. Their son Henry is the great-grandfather of your husband and the great, great-grandfather of Phil Polefrone. Henry's sister was my great, great-grandmother.

I hope this helped.
