Well hello Peter,

I've been doing my Mother (Muriel Bannatyne b. 1823 Subiaco, WA, Australia and soon after her Family immigrated from Scotland via Ireland, to Australia) since January 2005. I have had no luck using Web "Family" references. Then I started step by step, via GROS, Edinburgh records. Births, Marriage and parent info and the occasional death index.

I now have a lineage via GROS. And this line of Bannatyne- Burden, Eadie, Thomson, Dalgleish, McCartney / McArthur, Lamont and Muir, etal, is not recorded on any fancy Home pages.

I have a gem here- not recorded to date. Perhaps because few relatives went to the US of A and none to Australia prior to 1921. However, I'd appreciate any assistance here. More particularly with Lamont connection (Alexander Bannatyne m. Mary Lamont 1739 Rothesay Bute) and Alexander's Mother Margaret Spence (m. Alexander Bannatyne snr)
