I have two Mary Bannahans in my tree. Unfortunately, one died in Roscommon as a teenager. The other was born in Cohoes, NY to Martin Bannahan who came from Roscommon with his brother Patrick and sister Bridget. Another brother Thomas remained in Ireland. Some of the family changed the name to Banahan. Unaware of Bannachan or Banachan. I am always looking for info on Bannahans, so if you have anything to add please email me or if you want more info on the Bannahans that I have please write.
Patrick Bannahan, Mary's Uncle had a daughter Katherine who is my fraternal Grandmother.
