Could your BANKS be in any way related to Ada Florence MURDOCH nee BANKS, of Christchurch, New Zealand? She, incase you're wondering, is the widow of William McMaster Murdoch, First Officer of the RMS TITANIC, who perished when she sank off the coast of Newfoundland, 15 April 1912.

It is Ada's BANKS family I'm interested in. Her father's name is, James Brightwell BANKS, and her mother's name is, Mary Ann (maiden name is unknown). Her sisters' names are: Mary Rose (b. 1865), Lilian Brightwell (b. 1867), Charlotte Maud (b. 1869), Alice Gertrude (b. 1870), Ada (b. 20 Dec. 1873 d. 25 Apr. 1941, m. 2 Sep. 1907), Laura May (b. 1877) and Ruby Bertha (b. 1884).
