Hi Roger

Roy Banfield b1918 Greenwich was the brother of my Maternal grandmother Violet Mary Banfield. The story within the family is that Roy was a very handsome 6ft 2in blond man in his uniform (memory of my aunt), who went off to war but never returned. The story goes that he probably died at Dunkirk.

I have just started to research my family tree and as you will be able to tell I am still at the beginning., Ancestry.co.uk
