Diane: Some more stuff on the Thompsons. I have a lot more info on this family. This report is incomplete as I have yet to enter all my Thompson data in this particular Genealogical program tht produces the reports. For example I have yet to enter sources. I descend from old John Thompson's son, William who married Temperance Brickey, sister to Winifred who married William's brother John Jr from whom you descend. My great grandmother was Adeline Thompson who married William Mellor, my maternal great grand father. These families settled in and about Roodhouse, IL where I was born and raised. John-Winnie is buried in the Thompson Cemetery west of Roodhouse at Barrow Station. It is a lovely small cemetery, well kept up, or at least it was the last time I visited it. It is somewhat smaller than it originally was and several gravestones are stacked against trees. These evidently are from the part of the cemetery that was turned into a cornfild at some time.
