W.T. Bandy family, Franklin Co. MO abt. 1850

Specifically I'm writing about Martha Ann Bandy, William Thomas Bandy's daughter. Martha Ann was enumerated in the home of her parents, Wm. & Mary Bandy in the 1850 Franklin Co. MO census.

A descendants list compiled by Patty Strothcamp and donated by Julia Bandy to the Washington, MO, historical library, listed Martha (#143 on the said descendants list), born about 1826, as Martha Ann Bandy MOTLEY. It said, however, she married Henry Anderson. So what's "Motley" (or Moxley?) about? Marriage records do show an 1852 marriage for a "Mathey An" Bandy to Henry Anderson. So was she married to a Motley before she married Henry Anderson?

I'd be so grateful for even the slightest clue about this.
Elinore
