Hi Linda: You've been on here a long time with no replies. I am new so here's my line. I do have several Abel Bancroft's amongst my family members and some did live in that area of NY state. Who was the father of your Abel and where was he born? We'll start there and see if we come up with anything. You probably have found a lot of info since you posted this so long ago. Most of our line lived in the Cornwall area of Canada and New York state but originated in Mass. Pat
