I am searching for the parents of Mary Ann (Laird) Bancroft. She b. in Canada 2 Apr 1811 and d. 23 May 1885 in Tecumsah, Lenawee Co., Michigan. Census records indicate that her parents were born in Canada. She went to live with her son and his family in Waverly, Coffey Co., Kansas after her husband's death. The 1880 U. S. Federal Census shows Mary Ann, age 69, living with her son and his family. She married William Bancroft 1826 in Sylvania, Lucas Co., Ohio. He was b. 19 Sep 1802 in East Windsor, Hartford, Connecticut (some sources say he was born in Canada) and d. 2 Apr 1861 in Tecumsah, Lenawee Co., Michigan. William's will was probated in Leanwee County. I have copy of it.
I would appreciate any information on Mary Ann and William.
