This is very interesting. I take an interest in the entire de Vere or Oxford line;however, Bancroft is not my own specific line. My closest Oxford relation was a British chaplain in St Petersburg, Russia who married Ann Panton in 1817, about ten years before the accession of John Alexander Sturdza in Moldavia. there was a marriage of a Russian line into my family about that time. I am interested in all of the Veres and Oxfords and take an interest in all of their relations, however distant.
