Connecting the Bancroft dots

I'm interested if anybody has every attempted to connect the dots. Like many others in the forum, my family mentions George Bancroft however I am reluctant to pass this rumor on to my children until I'm sure of it. I would like to begin work with anybody interested in creating a side project to connect the dots with all the names published on this forum. Let me know if there are any takers.

FYI, I come from a family of Brooklyn NY Bancroft who are scattered to the four winds these days.
