I am looking for info on Lewis(Louis) Bancroft. He was born about 1886 in MI. He married (1) Lottie Cook(Koch). They had six children; Robert, Clifford, Clinton, Norman, Roscoe Charles Sr., Beulah. He later remarried after their divorce. He and his new wife lived on a farm in Newaygo Co.,MI. Lewis had two brothers; Fred(Fredrick) and Jack. Jack died at approximately 16 years of age, by drowning. Lewis and his father may have been involved in the lumber industry. In about 1922, Lewis and his son, Roscoe Charles Sr. operated a dam on the Boyne River in Charlevoix Co., MI. Lewis died about 11/1959 in Mancelona,Antrim Co.,MI.
I have reached a dead end with Lewis. If you have any info on him, I would really appreciate hearing from you.
