Hi! Am looking for descendants of John Bancroft, an Englishman who died before 1870
in Madison Co., Iowa. He married my ggggrandmother Mrs. Elizabeth Butler Chenoweth
(b. ca. 1825 in MO.). she had previously been marrid to Daniel Chenoweth 1818-1850/51
and by him was the mother of three sons and one daughter, the daughter was my gggrandmother. After Daniel died she married John Bancroft and had two more children, Charlie and Lucy.
They were born about 1854 and 1856. John had also been married before and had a son but don't know his name. These people all appear in the 1860 census of Madison County, Iowa, but in 1870
John is not listed and Elizabeth is head of household. Would love to know the descendants of Charlie and
