Hello,
My name is David Bancroft White. My great grandfather was William Bancroft Jarvis. He lived in Chicago around the late 1800's and married Eliza Clarke Irwin. He was also a prominent lawyer in his day. I have a very old picture of him as a boy with his sister(don't no name) and his parents- my great great grandfather Jarvis and my great great grandmother maiden last name Bancroft? I am guessing Ms. Bancroft was married to Mr. Jarvis around 1842?? Does anyone have any link to this information?
