My mother was Gladys Leola Bancroft (Seger) who was raised in Monticello Iowa. Her father was Hiram Bancroft, a butermaker (1872-ca.1940s). His father was Pomeroy E. Bancroft(ca. 1839-?).
Hiram married Izora Atwood. Pomeroy married Priscilla Wright in 1863, Trumbill, Ohio.
I haven't been able to go on from there. Any help would be appreciated.
