Neil, I'd really like to thank you for the information you provided regarding Abel. I will pursue this line and see what I can find to verify Elizabeth in terms of it. Your historical information is wonderful. Where do you get all of these terrific tid-bits that make researching so much more interesting than just a lot of BMD dates? I would really be interested in more information on the Bancrofts if you are willing share. I wonder if there is a possibility that Jerusha was the wife of Edmund and not Samuel. The source listed stated "as communicated to me" which does not support the information as being genealogical fact. I am certain that I recently came across information that Edmund was married with about four children and I am trying to locate it again. Do you have any information regarding Edmund that would eliminate the possibility of an error having been made? I found information today about accessing St. James Anglican Church and Cemetery records as well as the 1825 Census for York, which is what the Hull area was called until 1829. I would be happy to help you with this if you like. Is it possible to e-mail you? Susan Notify Administrator about this message?
