I am a Bancroft born and raised in the Passaic, NJ area and I know there was another Bancroft family in the area which wwas involved in Banking and whom my parents felt were not related to us. During my high school days I dated a young lady by the name of Holbeck who told me that her family and the other Bancrofts were friends. I never learned anymore than that. I'd like find out just what that connection is - - -I'm sure there is a connection. If anyone can shed light on this, I'd sure appreciate it.
