I am researching my husband's family who lived in West Hallam, Derbys and Bulwell, Notts before moving to West Yorks in the early 1900s. Great grandparents were Herbert and Mary Bancroft born around 1840s. Their children were Sarah, Elizabeth, Lucy, John, Arthur and Albert. Legend has it that the family originally came from Buckley but I haven't got that far yet. Any relation to yours?
