From what I've been able to piece together (not much) my great-grandfather was named Mike, brother of your Stephen. I gather that they came to this country about the same time, both eventually settling in southern Colorado. Mike was married to Anna Banas, which is why I posted a message when I found one posted by a Banas still living in the Kijov area. I have a photocopy of a pretty extensive geneaology of Stephen's descendants put together by Catherine Hicks and Helen Schultz in 1980. It came to me roundabout through Katherine Stephenson of Boulder Colorado, my father's cousin. Looking through it kind of whetted my interest in finding out more, but I have little time to devote to the search.
At any rate, we are certainly some kind of kin! Nice to meet you!
Carol
