I have never heard of New Burlington, Iowa. There is a West Burlington, Iowa just west of Burlington, Iowa that is on the Mississippi river. Some family from West Burlington drove to Yarmouth, Iowa in 1977 to see if my husband's family was related. However, we could not make a connection between the two families. My husband's great-great grandfather came over from Germany when he was about 17 years of age. He was born September 29, 1832.
