Hi. My great-grandfather Arthur C. Balzer (1882 - 1941)moved from Ohio to Michigan, where he died in Muskegon. He was German, his father, Philip Balzer (1845 - ?), emigrated from Germany as a child June 21, 1854. Check GERMANS TO AMERICA (a large, multivolume book that most libraries have) for a list of the families children. Perhaps others in this family moved to Michigan at the same time that Arthur C. did.
