I am trying to find information about my biological father, James Glovier Sutton. I have just recently been made aware of the possible circumstances surrounding his death. I was told that he was shot to death during a burglary at an unknown Baltimore, MD hotel, on or about November 8, 1973. He may have been a clerk there. I understand that he may have been cremated and buried in a pauper's grave, but some six months later, his body was claimed by two brothers (now deceased) and reburied in a marked cemetery in the Baltimore area.
I never saw my father. I just last week, met for the first time, a few cousins from that side of my family. Prior to that meeting, we didn't even know each other existed. Unfortunately, they knew little about James Glovier Sutton. I would certainly be interested in learning more of what happened to him, where he is buried, and if anyone knew him or had pictures of him. I know that he served in the US Army, and was medically discharged due to a serious auto accident in Texas.
He was born in the Waynesboro/Staunton/Verona Virginia area on 6/1/1929, and died in Baltimore on 11/8/1973.
