BALTIMORE surname : GUADELOUPE FWI

Ive been researching for a while my BALTIMORES traced in the caribbean island of Guadeloupe, a French possession, mainly in five cities Bouillante, Saint-Claude, Trois-Rivières, Baillif and Basse-Terre. We've been there since at least 1785. I haven't yet found out from which country in Africa we were originated, but there is no doubt we're of black descent.A lot of us have emigrated to France in the forties and I'm one of them.I do have children living in Holland and Brazil. Has anybody found out any connexions betwwen the Caribbean and the US as far as the BALTIMORES are concerned ? There are also BALTIMORES with the spelling BALTIMOR (all the same family). Keep in touch.
