Hi! My I'm Lydia Balmos from Cincinnati, Ohio. My family believes that the last name Balmos is either hungarian or romanian. Apparently it's translated into something along the lines of "goat's milk and cheese, boiled in an iron pot" which is a romanian delicacy. There are also Balmoses in Texas, but I don't know if there's any relation to my family. I hope this helped you a little bit.
