Son of "Casper and Marie Balmer Roth", he was born July 25, 1935 in Portland, OR. When he was very young, the family moved to Dayton, and he graduated from Dayton High School in 1954. After high school he went to work for Alpenrose Dairy in Portland and lived in Dundee, OR. He and Patsy Gladden were married on March 17, 1956 in Dundee. Thomas continued to work for Alpenrose; in addition, he owned and operated the Roth Dairy Farm in Dayton, OR. In 1966, he moved to Dayton, and in 1996, he retired from Alpenrose after 39 years. After his retirement he continued to work on properties which he owned. He also worked for his uncle in construction. He was a man who never really retired, and he always kept busy. Mr. Roth was a Blazer fan, who also gambled every now and then. He enjoyed trains, cars, coin collecting, gun collecting and traveling. The family said, "Thomas was a kind, honest and genuine man who often teased people and was always there to help someone in need and give words of wisdom."
