Hi Craig-

Thanx for the information. I had found two Olivers that could have matched, but without birth or bp records for John Henry, I can only assume that the Oliver you suggest may be the right father, and am still looking for those confirming records to prove that. The fact that this Oliver never married makes me think, perhaps, there was more than just a son between them, but being from such different stations in life, more than that was not to be.

Thanx again for your input - I'm hoping someone else somewhere may also have a reference to John Henry (Ballou)Bailey.
