I have a DNA match that I think traces to Mahala Rebecca Ballew - daughter of David Ballew and Esther Connelly, who married in Burke Co., NC in 1817 and moved to Fanin Co. GA. I don't know how they fit in my tree, however I do have other Conleys and Ballews in my paper trail. William Ballew and Syntha Elliott from Burke, now McDowell Co., NC are my 3rd great-grandparents. Syntha's parents were Nimrod Elliott and Elizabeth Conley. Does anyone know if/how these two Ballews - David (1778 Burke Co. NC > Fanin, GA) and William (~1801 Burke Co. NC > Putnam, IN) relate? Or if/how these two Connelly girls are related - Robin Esther Connelly (b. ~1797 in Burke Co., NC) and Elizabeth Conley (b. 1789 in Burke Co., NC)?

Thank you,
Zoe Eppley
