Hi!
I saw your post and I am wondering if you are not talking about one of my ancestors.I have managed to trace my line back to Dougal and Elizabeth through William Ballentine (b 1745 in I believe Antrim, No.Ireland) but some of the information I have for the time around 1800 is limited.Could either one of you help by filling in your lines back to Dougal. Then I can check it against my information.By the way MitziDougal's parents were William and Mary Ballentine. When I found them they were still in Ireland but I do not have a birth date on either at this time. Also, you may want to check on one of Dougal's children, Jane (b. 1735 Ireland)she married a man by the name of Patrick Harbison and stayed in Ireland several years after Dougal and Elizabeth came to South Carolina. The Harbison have an extensive history and family tree.
Hope to here from you soon.
Allen Ballentine
