Also if it is any help to you the name Ballinger was first heard of in Scotland in the sixteenth century,in a place named Kinross,Fife,which is also on the east coast of Scotland,i hope that this information is of some use to you,as i am looking into my own grandparents name who also happen to be Ballingers, Regards John Minns.
