According to THREE CENTURIES OF THE BALLENGERS by Emma BARRETT REEVES, his first wife was Sarah Hensley FRANKLIN daughter of Henry FRANKLIN (a Revolutionary Soldier) and Margaret HENSLEY, and he died in Amherst County, VA, on August 12, 1787.
