There WAS an Isaac Bellengee who was a member of the Philadelphia First Baptist Church in 1761, but he was also there in 1781 when MY ANCESTOR Isaac Bellangee was in Botetourt Co., Virginia. My Isaac Bellangee was granted 210 acres on Craig's Creek in Augusta Co. (later Botetourt Co.) in 1767, and was there until around 1780-81 or so.He moved from Botetourt to Greenbrier Co. VA/WV.
So it may be that there was an Isaac Bellangee who was in Philadelphia in the Revolution, but he did NOT immigrate from France during the Revolution.
Other than this information I have no documentation except that Isaac Bellangee was a member of the Baptist Church in Philadelphia 1761-1781.
