Hello,
I've been trying to find your Isaac Ballengee (Ballenger, Balenger). This is what I've come up with so far:
1850 Census of Charleston, Kanawha County, Virginia:
Isaac Balenger, age 41, born VA,Boatman
Lucy, age 34, born NY
James H. age 10, born VA
America A., age 7, born VA
Silas, age 4, born VA
Manerva, age 2 1/12, born VA
1860 Census of Blunt Township, Vermillion County, Illinois:
Lucy Ballinger, age 43, born NY
James, age 20, born VA
America A., age 17, born Va
Minerva, age 10, born VA
Lucy R., age 8, born VA
Isaac, age 4, born Indiana
Lucy (the wife) is still alive and living with daughter, Lucy and her husband in the 1900 census.
This must be your Isaac Ballengee's family. It looks like they were together up until about 1856, with little Isaac was born.Lucy must have left when Isaac entered the military.
It looks like they could very well tie in with the rest of the Ballengee's.Just don't know where.
Hope this helps.Sue
