More then likely, there are some errors yet to be fixed. I'm hoping the DNA will help us clear up errors can't be documented in any other way. Because of burned counties and theft of legal documents by excited genealogists, we are missing a lot of information. The only clues we have for some families are books written by early historians. Many of us are working to clear up the errors in family history. I don't think we will find all the corrections in my lifetime but we've certainly worked hard to fix the problem areas. We have to take in account many things, such as counties being created and many Ballards with the same name, such as Thomas, John and so on. Records have surfaced over the years that I've worked on this that were not in archives. We are searching for primary sources. Since they are missing from state archives, it makes the search harder.
