Don, I have been trying to check the names of the children of Thomas Ballard and Ann Thomas. I have not found a will for him and she died before him. It appears to me that several researchers have copied data from others and not verified it. I would think a man of his prominence would have left a will. Someone posted that his 2nd wife, Alice Hilliard, was named the executrix of his will. I hope a copy of it can be found as it would be very beneficial.
I do not know if this is a true list of the children of Thomas and Ann Thomas Ballard. If it is, then those people claiming descendency from them should be able to trace back easily.

NOTE: I question the accuracy of data for William, Elizabeth and Frances listed above. William because of the dispute over his wife's name and Elizabeth and Francis because they are shown to be born the same year but in different counties of Virginia.
