I'm very excited to see where you have info showing Theophilus Ballard's (b. 1804) parents to be James Ballard b. ca 1760 and Sara Kara. I've been unable to make that connection. Family lore said Theophilus (my gggrandfather) had brothers Thomas & John (close to James...), plus an unknown sibling thought to be a girl. This would be Sarah in your mapping of descendents. My grandmother always said Theophilus & his siblings were orphaned as children.
Theophilus b. 1804 was buried in Robbins Cemetery in Conecuh Co., AL. An older cousin of mine tells how he used to accompany our grandmother Lula Ballard (daughter of James Constantine Ballard and granddaughter of Theophilus b. 1804) to tend the gravesite of Theophilus and also the gravesite of a sibling of Lula Ballard. No headstone; Theophilus' gravesite was marked with river rocks. In March 2007, accompanied by two historians from Conecuh Co., I had the pleasure of tromping through the woods to the abandoned Robbins Cemetery. No remains of the gravesite; just a few stone markers from other graves are still standing. I took photographs of the most likely gravesites for Theophilus, based on my cousin's description of the location of Theophilus' gravesite.
I would greatly appreciate any documentation or other links you can share with me that reveal James Ballard b. ca 1760 and Sara Kara to be the parents of Theophilus Ballard b. 1804. This has been a major stumbling block for me for years. Thanks ever so much for the information you've provided!
