I have Louisa being born in Sparta, White, Tennesse but no proof. I did find a William Ballard on the tax list about this time. Also a George Ballard (Bullard) on the same tax list and he shows up in Wilson County TN. at the same time as William. After Lousia died James married Mary Eliza Whiteside and had at least 12 more children.
