Is is possible to get photocopies from you if I send $ and an envelope?
Also, if you are still in touch with the owners, could you ask for a copy of the title page? That is SUCH an essential page for anyone interested in using the Bible as proof for lineage society papers. Also, any library would really want it, too. Most people don't think about it unless they have done a lineage society paper, but when asked are willing to supply it. I've had to ask several people ( for DAR prospective members) over the years for the title page, after explaining its importance. No one has refused.

Anyway, whenever the transcription is done, please let me know. For lineage paper purposes, it would be very helpful if you got your transcription from the pages notarized, showing they were a true copy. Otherwise, the lineage societies won't take anything off the internet. You can understand why - nobody can prove the info is accurate and not "doctored". Also transcription errors creep in without someone proofreading, like a notary.
You are doing a great service to the Ballard lineage researchers. Thanks so much for whatever you can provide. We can but hope that these wonderful heirs will get authenticated copies in some publicly accessible place one day where we can all use it. Keeping my fingers crossed! Thanks very much for the part you are playing in its preservation. Your generosity is evident and much appreciated.
