William Ballard b1807-1811
I am trying to trace my great great-great-grandfather William Ballard.Here are the details I have on him.
1807-1811 birth in England, however not in Sussex (ref 1841 census)
1834 he married Mary Ann Hayllar in Hove, Sussex on 15 September and was witnessed by Emma Ballard (unknown family member) and Edward Bedford
1837 birth of son Albert in Brighton, Sussex on 31 January
1837 baptism of son Albert in Brighton on 23 April
1839 birth of son Henry in Brighton
1840 birth of son James Ballard in Brighton on 22 August - living in High Street, Brightonand working as a sailor or tailor
1841 census working as a porter and living in High Street, Brighton
1845 baptism of son Thomas on 26 October - living at Cornford Street, Brighton and working as a sailor ot tailor
1846 birth of son Forest on 11 December - working as a sailor or tailor and living at 84 Church Street, Brighton
1847 baptism of son Forest on 28 February - living in Church Street and working as a tobacconist
1848 death of son Thomas on 14 May - living at York Row, Brighton
1848 possibly died in Hurstpierpoint, Sussex on 22 September - if so was a grocer in Brighton and died of consumption.Lucy Marchant present at death
1851 census - Mary Ann declares herself a widow and she was living at 6 Church Street, Brighton
