I am trying to find where and when my Greatgrandfather died and is buried. He had a daughter Melinda Ellen Friend born in Iowa who married Frances M Ball also born in Iowa. I found them in the 1870 census living in Miami Co Kansas, Osawatomie Twp. My grandfather and family was there too but not there in 1880. His wife and daughter are listed there in 1880 census but he is not. This leads me to believe that he died in Miami Co Kansas between 1870 and 1880 but have not found him in any records there. I thought maybe some descendent of the Balls might have some info on the Friends.
