Hello,
I am desperately searching for the parents of my Great Grandmother named Dr. Birdie T. Lanier (Gayle) born in Cuthbert, GA in 1865 and died in Waco, Texas in 1945.
There is a photo of her with an elderly woman in a wheelchair in July 1908 in Waco, TX. The woman in the wheelchair is named Harriett Caroline Ball, and it indicates on the back of the photo that this woman is the Mother of Birdie Lanier Gayle. I don't think Harriett Caroline Ball ever lived in Waco.
However, I have searched online and cannot find anyone by that name in anyone's Family Tree or anywhere else.
Birdie's Father was said to have been a B.T. Lanier. The only record I found of him was from the Civil War. He was in a Regiment based in Cuthbert, GA in 1864, one year before Birdie was born.
I have been looking for Birdie's Parents and this photo is all we have.
If anyone has any information, I would greatly appreciate any help I can get. I can send a jpeg of this photo in exchange.
